RCT1 History

Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 was first started out as a sequel to Chris Sawyers Transport Tycoon. In September, 1996 he decided to add simple rollercoasters to the game, this was the birth of Rollercoaster Tycoon. The game developed with more features, coasters and rides being added to the game. A demo was made for the game and was made public on the 3rd of February 1999. The game was eventually released for the PC on the 31st of March 1999 and an Xbox version followed, released on the 27th of March 2003.
