Tutorials : Paths Over Track Pieces
Aim : This tutorial will show you how to make paths over tracked pieces. Acknowledge the red track. That means you cannot build there: Delete the red track so the collision is not detected: Bring up your terrain tools –activating the ‘multi-snap’ tool and choose the size you want to use (in this picture I chose 3). Now bring the tiles down at least 4 increments just like the picture shows. This is so that there will be no collision between the Coaster and Path: After you have set your terrain, you are ready to continue constructing your coaster. Add the track pieces over the terrain and path you just lowered: In the same manner that you lowered the tiles, now you want to raise them: Once raised, you will notice that there is no collision detected between the track and path. Why this is, I don’t know? But it’s pretty cool wouldn’t you agree? Notice the car runs smoothly over the path as if it were not there at all: Notice the peeps? I guess they don’t see a track is there, or they’re just suicidal… (They always seem to prevail no matter what we do to them): |
